GEOMET^® 430 is a black appearance basecoat applied to protect fasteners and various types of metallic parts from corrosion. GEOMET^® 430 is always combined with black performingtopcoats^® (PLUS^® or GEOKOTE^®) to provide a very broad range of friction coefficients.

Characteristics and performance

• Thin dry-film, non-electrolytic
• Water-based chemistry
• No hydrogen embrittlement
• Passivated zinc flakes in a binder, patented chemistry
• Coefficient of friction can be adjusted to targeted values ranging from 0.06 to 0.20
  (ISO 16047) with NOF METAL COATINGS GROUP’s selected performingtopcoats^®.
• Always used with black performingtopcoats^® (PLUS^® or GEOKOTE^®)
• Excellent assembly and multi-tightening behavior with lubricated topcoats: conform to VW 01129 and 01131
• Good chemical resistance with topcoat (VDA 621-412)
• Performance maintained at elevated temperature (up to 300°C)
• Electrical conductivity for most application processes
• Bimetallic compatibility with aluminium
• Paintable coating

High resistance to corrosion

2-coat basecoat + 1-coat topcoat (> 28g/m2 + > 6 g/m2):

> 1000 hours without red rust

Application process

GEOMET^® 430 can be applied by Dip-Spin, Dip-Drain-Spin, using bulk or rack.
